Genius Hour 2.4
Hello, Bloggers. Progress this week for learning nunchucks has been successful. I can now do most of the moves with ease and fluidity, so now it comes to the point of continuing to speed them up and combining them. With this speed comes the ability to make more mistakes, and thats been apparent in the many times Ive smacked myself in the back of the head with the nunchucks. They are very dense, so it is quite painful, but that’s just more incentive to get it down. My goal this week was to improve a certain move that had been difficult for me, and I feel as if I’ve accomplished that. I can now do it with few mistakes and its a building move, so I can add it to others to perform more complex moves. All of my little accomplishments combined are definitely helping me progress towards my bigger goals of creating a “routine.” I am on track with my Genius Hour planner, and don’t see that changing any time soon.
These are the two sets of nunchucks I have been working with. Both are made with a smooth wood, but the ones on the left are heavier, and tied together with a nylon rope, and the ones on the right are lighter and connected with a chain.

Wow! This seems like a pretty extensive process! I personally probably would never try much with nun-chucks in fear of painfully smacking myself everywhere; but, that's super cool that you're able to put that aside and get it done. Keep up the good work, and good luck!
ReplyDeleteLearning this skill, seems like a fun skill just to have for the future. What is the difference in using the two nun chucks?
